Re: Explore unlimited possibilities - Coolpi 8-inch touchscreen
I would like to build a tablet using the Cm5 core board and v2 carrier board used in the CM5 laptop. I have the 14in CM5 laptop and am very pleased with its stablity as a daily-driver. Shrinking it down to an 8 or 10in tablet form-factor would be ideal. I've got the touchscreen and boards in my cart on Aliexpress and am ready to pull the trigger pending any feedback on the following potential concerns:
- Heat management (low profile heatsink/fan like the laptop?)
- Structural rigidity (PLA 3D print case?)
- Hardware buttons (power, volume, brightness, etc)
- 5G Cellular Modem possibilty
Any insights/thoughts would be greatly appreciated.

@anernest
These features are already supported on laptop products. -
@george how could you explain how I could connect the Quectel RM500Q-GL 5G modem? I finally got around to purchasing the components for my tablet build and just received them. The Wifi module already occupies the A/E key M.2 slot, and I'm hoping to add an SSD to the other SSD M.2 slot. Are there enough lanes available on the M.2 slot to split for an SSD and the 5G modem?
