    laptop not booting with latest image.

      I tried flashing the latest image to my laptop, but after rebooting, nothing comes up after the coolpi logo, the backlight is on but nothing else. anything i can try?

        好像不止一个人遇到这个问题了?我的是一直卡在logo界面不动。

          First, create the image on a USB flash drive using the etcher tool, then insert it into the computer. The computer will prioritize booting from the USB flash drive. After booting, use the following command to format the EMMC

          sudo mkfs.ext4 /dev/mmcblk0

              @george i can confirm that the debian image boots normally,, only the latest Ubuntu wont start.

                Can the machine enter UMS mode? If it can enter UMS mode, you can first try formatting the UMS disk, and then use Ethcer to load the latest image and flash the machine.Refer to the following document.

                  @george i also flashed the image to the emmc of the laptop, ubuntu didnt boot there either, meanwhile i tried the armbian image, that booted too.

                    If the firmware of Ubuntu is created on a USB drive and then inserted into a computer, can it boot up?

                      @George The latest Ubuntu image won't boot from either a usb stick nor if its imaged onto the laptop from my Macbook using ums mode,
                      both Debian and Arabian boot fine.
